Non-negotiable

Seller Standards & Conduct

Live selling goes bad in one specific way: sellers who yell at the room and make people feel stupid for bidding what a thing is worth. That behaviour is not a personality on DropLive — it's a breach. Every seller agrees to these standards at application, and we enforce them with strikes and removals.

Sell to people, not at them

No badgering, shaming or guilt-tripping viewers into bidding. No 'come on, that's an insult' pile-ons. If a lot goes cheap, that's the market — take it on the chin.

Zero tolerance for abuse

No slurs, harassment, sexual comments, or targeting a buyer by name in a hostile way. This applies to the stream, the chat and DMs. One clear incident is enough for a strike.

Describe it honestly

Condition, grading, authenticity and weight stated accurately and shown on camera. No 'gem mint' on a card with whitening. Raw cards must be called raw.

No shill bidding, ever

You may not bid on your own lots, or have friends, alt accounts or staff do it. Reserves are the legitimate way to protect a lot — use them.

Honour the clock and the price

The hammer price is the price. No re-running a lot because it went too cheap, no 'best offer' after the fact, no cancelling a winning bidder you don't like.

Ship on time, communicate early

Tracking uploaded within 3 business days. If something goes wrong, say so before the buyer has to chase you. Funds stay held in trust until delivery.

How enforcement works

Every show is recorded, so reports are reviewed against the actual footage — not one person's word against another's. Reviews are done by a human, and the seller sees exactly which clip triggered the strike.

Strike 1
Formal warning

Written notice with the clip attached. Recorded on your seller file for 12 months.

Strike 2
7-day suspension + demotion

No live drops for 7 days. Removed from discovery rails, Boost eligibility and leaderboards for 30 days.

Strike 3
Removed from DropLive

Account closed to selling. Outstanding orders are fulfilled or refunded from funds held in trust before final payout.

Some things skip the ladder

Shill bidding, counterfeit goods, hate speech, threats, and taking payment with no intention to ship are immediate removal on the first confirmed incident. Funds held in trust are returned to buyers.

Reporting a seller

Every live show and every order has a Report control. Reports are private — the seller never sees who filed one. We aim to review inside 48 hours, and we tell you the outcome.

Why we're strict about this

A live marketplace lives or dies on whether a first-time buyer feels safe spending $40 in a room full of strangers. Every seller who bullies the chat costs us the next hundred buyers — and costs every good seller their audience. Holding the line on conduct isn't the soft part of the business. It's the moat.
